Obviously, we at LondonCryo love the cold, but we are also fans of a warming dose of turmeric, be that a latte, supplement, or even in skin care. We view health and wellness in a holistic manner, meaning all parts are connected and it’s important to treat the whole body, inside and out.

This is why we are so excited to announce our latest offering of Golden Grind turmeric products direct from LondonCryo founder, Maria’s native Australia.

Turmeric, known scientifically as "Curcuma Longais” is part of the ginger family and has many uses in many forms, it’s an essential ingredient of asian cooking, adding flavour, warmth and colour to curries. It’s instantly recognisable by its bright, golden hue. In addition to food, turmeric has been used in Ayurveda and Chinese medicines for around 5000 years thanks to its health benefits and properties.

While the turmeric plant is lovely, it’s what happens below ground that is important, as it’s the root that provides all the benefits. Containing as many as 100 beneficial compounds including; moisture, omega 3 fatty acids, alpha linolenic acid, dietary fibres and minerals such as calcium, potassium, phosphorous, sodium, iron and vitamins B and C. The root is then split yielding two main products; turmeric oil and turmeric power.

The oil maintains most of the aroma, while the powder offers the most of the curcuminoids which are cited for their health benefits.

We will be offering the Golden Grind’s Turmeric and Black Pepper capsules. Featuring high doses of curcumin and black pepper (which contains piperine, an alkaloid which helps the body to absorb the curcumin) these fantastic supplements help with inflammation, oxidation and pain including arthritis and menstrual cramps.

In addition we are thrilled to be offering some of Golden Grind’s best sellers in beauty including: All Natural Turmeric Face Scrub, Miracle Turmeric Face Mask and Natural Turmeric Body Soap.

What you put on your skin is just as important as what you put in your mouth, as your skin absorbs up to 60% of the ingredients you put on it. Now that can be good or bad. Make it good by choosing products that are filled with wholesome, natural healthy ingredients.

Turmeric is a great choice as it’s been used to treat skin conditions for centuries. Since it’s anti-inflammatory it reduces redness, swelling and scarring. It has been beneficial in treating skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, rashes and acne. Turmeric is naturally antibacterial, thus keeping your skin clean and clear.

All of the Golden Grind’s products are fairtrade, vegan, cruelty free and made in Australia.
